(If using canned try to purchase low-sodium, otherwise rinse well, soak in fresh water, and rinse well again). Serving size for this month is up to 1/2 cup daily.

The basics to Drop 10 in 30:
It’s pretty simple really, just have to prepare yourself to not eat carbs, junk food or sugar and cut out the pop if you drink it. You’ll most likely get withdrawal symptoms by doing this – when I stopped drinking pop a couple years back I had horrible headaches for a couple days. It does pass and then you’ll feel great!

My suggestion is to start now and wean yourself off so you don’t go cold turkey on the 1st. I know Labour Day weekend is a big end of the summer celebration but I’m not using that as an excuse to stuff my face. I’ll have one treat of choice (after a ton of contemplation, lol) and that’s it. That’s me though – so you’re still free to have what you’d like just keep in mind the more sugar and pop you put in the worse the withdrawal symptoms will be. Moderation is key!

I am also starting to drink the Fat-flush Cran water…probably with a shot of vodka over the weekend. But even try to keep your drinking in moderation!!

ONLY EAT 3 MEALS A DAY: Breakfast, lunch and dinner
Make sure you eat a significant amount of protein with every meal; meat, fish, poultry, eggs, cheese, cottage cheese 21 WEEKLY meals, without fail.

Drink a minimum of 1.25 L (42 oz) of spring water daily.
Coffee and herbal tea in moderation. NO ARTIFICIAL sweeteners!! Organic stevia or a small amount of sugar is allowed. Coffee and herbal tea are not considered part of your water intake.

DO NOT SNACK between meals!!

Use olive oil, butter or coconut oil for cooking!

My Pathetic Story

I have told you all about my story regarding my Mom. I want to share my personal story. However, please remember that this is a closed, private page. I am going to ask that any of you who read this, please don’t comment on my timeline, or copy and paste any of my story. It is highly personal, and I don’t want it ‘out there’ for the world to have access to. It is rather long (perhaps even boring), and I will try to be as concise as possible. My weight issue started about 23 years ago, the first time I quit smoking. I got pregnant with child #4 two weeks after quitting. By the time I delivered our sweet baby girl, I was waddling. When the kids were little, money was extremely tight, so I considered it a good week if I was able to feed my children and make sure hubby (who was the bread-winner), had enough to eat. More days than I can count, I wouldn’t eat, or just have whatever might be left over. I had become very sneaky and when hubby would comment on me not eating enough, I would laugh and say “Hey, does it really look like I am starving myself? I ate just before you came home, got up, etc.” Whatever sounded appropriate at the time. I was a young Mom, overwhelmed with life. As time went on, the weight never came off, and I began getting depressed. I know why I couldn’t lose it now, but I didn’t understand it then. My God, I was chasing around 4 little children, I was back in college full-time, I was working 3 jobs; waitressing, selling Avon, and cleaning a lady’s home. As I said, I barely ate, but why was I so fat? Bizzie wasn’t just my name, but it was my game, lol.

As I got more depressed, the less I could do to help myself. Whenever I ate, I felt nauseous, so eating became even less appealing. I am still having huge issues forcing myself to eat, but I am really trying.

I started smoking again about 4 years ago, which made me feel even worse about myself. I tried quitting several times, but I was never successful. It was a vicious circle, I wouldn’t eat because I was fat, I couldn’t quit smoking because I was depressed, and I was so depressed that quite frankly, every time I looked in the mirror, I wanted to puke.

It all came to a head a couple of years ago, I tried to quit smoking using Chantix, and although it has worked fabulous for many people, it sent me into a total nose-dive. I had thoughts of suicide, psychedelic dreams, and of course, more weight gain.

A few years ago I found out I have Celiac Disease, it took awhile to diagnose, because ‘usually’ people with Celiacs are pathetically thin. Anyone who knows me, knows I am not in the ‘usual’ category for anything, and this was NO exception, lol. Do you know the pics. they show on TV about malnourished children in third world countries? Dark bags under the eyes, big extended tummies. etc? Well that was me. I had put my body into starvation mode, so any food it actually consumed, would hug me like white on rice, plus whatever nutrients I was consuming, my body was not absorbing them because of the Celiacs. I can’t tell you how many times I would pray to God just to let a worthless piece of shit like me die.

So I thank God I found SF when I did. I really don’t think I would be alive much longer if I hadn’t. Although I am still trying to retrain my body into consuming food, and although I am working on my self-esteem (still not in the clear), but I am really trying with it too! I am starting to get some of my vigour back, as well as my love of life. There are literally thousands of different diet products and methods on the market today. Many of which not even I understand! When you’re looking for a diet product and see labels with complex explanations of how they work, you generally assume the logic is too complex to try and understand and let the “experts figure it out”. This is a huge mistake which leads me to the first of seven misconceptions!

MISCONCEPTION 1- Weight loss is not a complicated issue! The longer weight loss is an issue, the more people try to find more complex ways to deal with it! And the more complex the weight loss issue becomes, the more problems arise.
As I said before most weight loss products on the market today have complex labels and stress how they fight the “X” cause of your weight problems which makes you think they are unlike anything else. The problem however is that most of these products are scams.

MISCONCEPTION 2- Most diet products are designed to keep you hooked on them. Now I’m not going to be bias and say that every popular diet product/method is a scam but as statistics show, that may very well be the case. Remember there are literally thousands of different products and methods and as statistics show, obesity levels are clearly on the rise.
So if so many products are all promising the same thing (weight loss) and so many people are buying them and statistics are still showing an increase in obesity, that means that they are clearly not working! Our obesity levels are increasing because of the all the unhealthy foods we eat, but they are not decreasing with diet products are designed to help us counter weight gain.

I have tried many diet products, as well as programs, but same as most of you, if I actually lost weight, I almost always regained it when I stopped the plan or product. If you take them, you may lose weight but what happens when you stop taking it? The weight comes back. Most people feel like they need to stay on the product/program forever.
I belief that these products can be very dangerous because most drugs (not just diet pills) have side effects and side effects are basically your body’s reaction to the pill/s you’re taking. Now many diet products are good at hiding their side effects section, keeping it in small letters so you won’t bother to read it, so if you do choose to buy a diet product, please read the label carefully. If something seems fishy, then it usually is!!
If you have to keep buying the diet product it usually runs $40-60 per month. But, once you stop using the pill or shakes the weight comes back and you are forced to pay again to keep the weight off.

This is a very profitable investment for diet companies. You can eventually end up spending thousands of dollars for something that could potentially harm your health.
